Next week is the recess in the congressional session, and while many members of congress across the country are holding town hall meetings to talk with their constituents, the Republicans here in Washington haven’t announced any yet.

Working with labor and some of our progressive allies, we’re hoping to organize some events next week at the offices of the Republicans so that they have to listen to us. We’d love your help turning out local Democrats to come to these events – if possible, you or someone you know could volunteer to serve as our Democratic point person for the event, to help collect sign-in information, take a picture we can post on social media, and otherwise serve as our party leader for the event. It would be a huge help in our efforts to organize in these districts.

We’re going to be rallying at these events to defend the ACA and health care, protect Planned Parenthood, and oppose Trump’s illegal “Muslim ban” that’s tearing families apart. But we need people and organizing to do that effectively!
