Washington State Democrats’ Weekend Of Action Generates GIANT Numbers

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | Monday, October 22, 2018

SEATTLE, WA — Last weekend’s Weekend of Action generated giant numbers for the Washington State Democrats. Get Out The Vote events were held across the state, from Vancouver to Chewelah, and from Bellingham to Walla Walla. In total, there were nearly 1000 volunteer shifts completed and more than 60,000 doors knocked and phones called.

Says Washington State Democratic Party Chair Tina Podlodowski: “For so many people across the state, voting just isn’t enough this year — they’re lacing up their shoes, knocking on doors, and talking to other voters. We’ve been building nearly two years for this moment. Ballots are out. People are voting right now. And to those who want to know how to help in these last two weeks, I say: First, fill out your ballot and drop it in a mailbox. Then go to www.WAElectionCenter.com and sign up for a volunteer event near you!”
