    Jaxon Ravens elected as State Democratic Party Chair

    On February 1st, the Washington State Democratic Central Committee elected Jaxon Ravens as State Democratic Party Chair. The other candidates were Dana Laurent, Jim Kainber, and Jay Clough.     Everett Herald: No excuses on the Dream Act

    On the the first day of the 2014 legislative session, Democrats and Republicans in the Washington State House came together to pass the Dream Act, which would extend educational opportunity to children of undocumented immigrants. Senate Majority Leader Rodney Tom has said that the bill will not advance in the State Senate. The Everett Herald wrote this editorial in response.
