Smiley Says: Make the Senate McConnell’s Again

In new reporting, Tiffany Smiley is proudly touting a 30 minute long meeting with Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, gushing about, “how great to have Washington state be the seat that flips the Senate in November.”
This is the first time in her campaign that Tiffany Smiley has publicly admitted that she would be overjoyed to hand control of the United States Senate to Mitch McConnell. Importantly, for the people of Washington state, this would enable Senate Republicans to enact their campaign platform of harsh anti-abortion measures, tax hikes on working people and retirees, and longstanding efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

The Republican Senate campaign platform to hike taxes on working people and repeal health care was drafted by Senator Rick Scott (R-FL), the Chair of the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee and a prominent backer of Smiley’s candidacy.
