The differences between Dr. Kim Schrier and Republican Dino Rossi are clear — Dr. Kim Schrier is the candidate who will work for the people of Washington State’s 8th Congressional District

ELLENSBURG, WA — Upon the conclusion of the debate between Dr. Kim Schrier and Republican Dino Rossi, held tonight at Central Washington University, Washington State Democratic Party Chair Tina Podlodowski released the following statement:
“Tonight’s debate between Dr. Kim Schrier and Republican Dino Rossi made absolutely clear what is at stake in this race for the people of the 8th Congressional District.
On health care, Dr. Schrier supports making sure that pre-existing conditions are covered. She believes in a woman’s right to choose and will fight to make sure women have equal access to health care. Republican Dino Rossi reaffirmed his anti-choice position.
Dr. Schrier will defend Medicare and Social Security, which so many older Americans rely on. Republican Dino Rossi? Not if he votes with the special interests who are funding his campaign.
Dr. Schrier is for a responsible tax policy that provides relief to the middle class. Republican Dino Rossi is content to hand out permanent tax cuts to corporations and his ultra-wealthy donors at the expense of the middle class Americans who rely on Social Security and Medicare.
Tackling climate change and protecting the environment are important to Dr. Schrier. Former Trump delegate Dino Rossi gave no indication he would take any action to slow our changing climate.
Folks, there’s a clear choice here, and it’s Dr. Kim Schrier.”
